Congratulations to our 12 Cardinal Gibbons students—Lydia Berent, Camilla Escobar, Ariana Gunter, Victoria James, Mateo Jaramillo, Jack Perez, Christina Pryor, Sofia Rivera, David Sanchez, Henry Silva, Elonzo Slones, and Belen Vera—who earned academic honors from the College Board National Recognition Program! This prestigious achievement celebrates their hard work and strong academic performance and helps showcase their accomplishments to colleges nationwide.
This year, the College Board expanded the recognition to include a fifth award honoring first-generation students, in addition to recognizing students who are from rural areas, small towns, and those who identify as Black, Indigenous, and Hispanic/Latino. Many colleges utilize these awards in their recruitment efforts, helping open doors to higher education.
Principal Mr. Oscar Cedeño shared, “This recognition is a testament to the talent, resilience, and commitment of our students. These honors not only celebrate their hard work but also broaden their pathways to future success, and we’re honored to be part of their academic and personal growth. We are proud to support their journeys as they set new standards of achievement.”
