Students Collect Hundreds of Items and $2,230 for Local Food Ministries through Thanksgiving Food Drive
Kristin Hanke

At Cardinal Gibbons, it is a blessing to use our time, talent, and treasure to support others. Because of the generosity of students and their families, many people in the community will enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving meal. Students, faculty, and staff raised $2,230 through a “Dress Down Day” held Wednesday, November 10. That money, used to purchase Publix gift cards, was paired with more than 100 large boxes of food collected during Cardinal Gibbons’ Thanksgiving Food Drive-Thru event Wednesday, November 17. The food and gift cards were delivered to Sheridan House in Davie, the Jubilee Center of South Broward in Hollywood, San Isidro Food Ministry in Pompano Beach, and All Saints Soup Kitchen in Fort Lauderdale. We are thankful for all who organized and contributed to this important act of service to others.
