Cardinal Gibbons proudly recognizes senior Jimmy Lowrey, a Lead Cappie Critic, whose theatrical review of Piper High School’s The Wizard of Oz was selected for publication on the Cappies website.

The Cappies Program is a competitive and highly regarded initiative that selects a limited number of high school students to serve as trained theater critics. Students are chosen based on strong writing skills, academic performance, and professionalism. As a Lead Cappie Critic, Jimmy has demonstrated exceptional analytical ability, leadership, and a deep appreciation for the performing arts.

Having a review published on the Cappies website is a significant honor and reflects the high quality of Jimmy’s work and its alignment with professional editorial standards.

Out of 55 students who reviewed the show, Jimmy was one of only five selected to have their reviews published.
