Speech & Debate Team Members Earn Top Placements in Virtual Competitions

Throughout the month of September, numerous members of the Cardinal Gibbons Speech and Debate team have earned top placements in various competitions at the local, regional and national levels.
Senior Zach Dumas made it to the elimination rounds (Double-Octofinals) at the Duke University Invitational in Varsity Lincoln-Douglas Debate. Thus, he was in the Top 32 in the nation.
Junior Roberto Sosa qualified for the elimination rounds in Lincoln-Douglas Debate at the Mid America Cup, and senior Elena Davis placed third at the Wakefield Warmup in Informative Speaking.
