Senior Megan Price was honored by the City of Coconut Creek Police Department on Thursday, Sept. 19 through the “Do the Right Thing” program, for her outstanding contributions to her local community.

According to the Coconut Creek Police Department, the “Do the Right Thing” program “is designed to recognize school-aged children within our community who are doing good things,” and aims to “reinforce exemplary behavior while helping to build self-esteem.”

Price was named as a “Do the Right Thing” winner for September 2019 for her work with a group she started called “Teen Ambassadors” which works with young girls dealing with developmental disabilities. Cardinal Gibbons is proud to have our students excelling and leading not just in school but out in the community.

In addition to being involved in the local community, Price is also involved in a number of programs at Cardinal Gibbons. Price is currently active in the Drama Department and is working as the Student Publicity Manager for the fall production “Bright Star.”
