Nine members of the Cardinal Gibbons Music Department earned Superior ratings at the Florida School Music Association District 15 Solo and Ensemble Competition held at South Plantation High School on Saturday, Feb. 22.
Students who received the Superior rating included:

Emily Fuentes
Michael Canete
Ryan Springate
Jorge Phelps
Andres Yanez-Ortega
Daniela Castillo
Jay Rand
In addition to the nine students who earned Superior ratings, three additional students earned the second-highest rating of Excellent. Those students included:

Daniela Castillo
Ray Heikkenen
The Cardinal Gibbons Colorguard team also competed at the event and received an ensemble rating of Excellent, while Rebecca Pryor, Breanna Brown and Olivia Boykin received Superior ratings for their solo performances. Sophia Lopez-Garzon received an Excellent for her solo.
