Key Club Collects Dozens of "Welcome Home Baskets" for Women in Distress

Students in the Cardinal Gibbons Key Club collected dozens of baskets containing various household necessities, such as sheets, and towels, for Women in Distress of Broward County, as a part of their "Welcome Home Basket Drive."

Women in Distress is the only nationally accredited, state-certified, full-service domestic violence center serving Broward County. The organization aims to stop domestic violence abuse for everyone through intervention, education and advocacy and offers numerous resources to the women and their children.

The baskets collected were designated as "Welcome Home Baskets," which are given to all women who come to stay with Women in Distress and display the community's support for these women as they navigate this difficult period of their lives.
