Florida Engineering Society Visits Computer Science and Engineering Pathways
Suzanna Zaden

Our Engineering and Computer Science Pathways students had an incredible opportunity to engage with professionals from the Florida Engineering Society (FES) Broward Chapter, AREHNA Engineering, Inc., Kimley-Horn, and KEITH Civil Engineering.

Students explored careers in civil, mechanical, thermodynamics, geo-engineering, electrical, and design engineering, gaining firsthand insights into the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in these fields. The visiting engineers also highlighted the importance of collaboration, communication, presentation, and writing skills in the engineering profession.

Through small breakout sessions, students received personalized guidance on networking, resume strategies, and career readiness, forming meaningful connections with industry professionals. The day concluded with a reflection in prayer, emphasizing the importance of using one’s talents to serve others.

We are grateful to our industry partners for investing in the next generation of engineers and for inspiring our students to pursue their passions with purpose.
