Feliciano-Munoz '20 Named to the 2020 NFF Team of Distinction

Former Cardinal Gibbons linebacker Gabriel Feliciano-Munoz was named to the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame 2020 Team of Distinction on Tuesday, June 23. 

Feliciano-Munoz, who recently graduated from Cardinal Gibbons in May 2020, was one of only 82 students named to the team out of the 3,500 scholar-athletes nominated for the 2020 Team of Distinction. Feliciano-Munoz was nominated by the NFF Brian Piccolo/Ft. Lauderdale (FL) Chapter, after he was honored as an Orange Bowl Committee Overall Winner at the Brian Piccolo Scholar-Athlete Awards Ceremony on May 13. 

According to the official announcement released by the NFF, criteria to make the team include but are not limited to academic achievement, athletic accolades and community involvement. 

One of the top graduates of the Class of 2020, Feliciano-Munoz excelled both in the classroom and on the football field. He earned a 5.17 GPA, ranked within the Top 15 of his graduating class and served as the President of Mu Alpha Theta the National Mathematics Honor Society. Out of the classroom, Feliciano-Munoz served as a team captain for the Cardinal Gibbons football team and was a conference all-star who helped lead his team to their first state championship in 2018.
