Cardinal Gibbons High School distinguished itself at this year's STEM Frost Challenge, emerging as the only Archdiocesan high school and the only school overall with multiple scholarship-winning projects at the prestigious tri-county competition held at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Miami. Students from across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe Counties gathered to compete in scientific research, critical thinking, and presentation, and the Chiefs delivered.

Junior Isabella Shuckerrow earned the Best Oral Presentation award, taking home a one-year Florida Prepaid College Scholarship. Junior Ava Merlino claimed 2nd Place in the Individual Projects category, earning a three-year Florida Prepaid College Scholarship. In the Group Projects category, Juniors Tristan Milano and Emily Ward took 1st Place, with each receiving a three-year Florida Prepaid College Scholarship. “We are very proud of our students. Having four winners speaks to the talent at Cardinal Gibbons and our daily focus on strong academics. Grounded in our Catholic mission, we are forming students who use their gifts with purpose.
