CGTV Shines on the National Stage at STN Convention

Congratulations to our CGTV team for their outstanding performance at the Student Television Network Convention! Twenty students traveled to Tampa at the beginning of March to compete against the top student storytellers in the country, some from as far away as Hawaii and Alaska, as well as learn from a variety of industry professionals.

In addition to their studies in Digital Video Technology and Photography classes, students spent many hours preparing for the competition after school, on weekends, and on school holidays. Their hard work and collaboration led to an unforgettable experience which included a visit to the historic Tampa Theatre, a rinkside Q & A with Tampa Bay Lighting team reporter Gabby Shirley, and four NATIONAL awards!

"Mrs. Green and I are incredibly grateful for the time spent with this talented and dedicated group of students. They showed so much resilience over the course of the convention and produced highly impressive work under tight deadlines," said Mrs. Meyer, Digital Video Technology teacher. "More importantly, these students grew and strengthened friendships while creating special memories. We could not be more proud of the way they represented Cardinal Gibbons High School."
