On Saturday, Dec. 21, four members of the Cardinal Gibbons Chapter of Habitat for Humanity joined Habitat for Humanity of Broward for a dedication ceremony held to welcome six local families into their new homes.

Habitat for Humanity of Broward helps provide stability to struggling local families by providing them with educational, professional and financial resources. As one of their many services, Habitat for Humanity provides low-income families with affordable housing options.

Seniors Morgan Kolb, Lauren Justiniano and Jared Mendez, as well as sophomore Lauren Kolb, were the student representatives present at the dedication ceremony and presented each of the six families with "welcome baskets" stocked with food items and other household goods.
