Andrews '22 Named Broward 5A-2A Volleyball Player of the Year; Over a Dozen Others Earn Sun Sentinel All-County Honors

Cardinal Gibbons junior Dylan Andrews was named the Broward County 5A-2A girls volleyball player of the year by the Sun Sentinel.

Andrews, an outside hitter, posted 161 kills, 140 digs, 22 aces, 16 assists, one block and 71 service points during the 2020 season while helping lead the Chiefs to the state final, where they fell to Bishop Kenny.

Longtime Chiefs head coach Kathryn Reeber was named the Broward County 5A-2A Girls Volleyball Coach of the Year. Head football coach Matt Dubuc was also honored as Coach of the Year after leading the Cardinal Gibbons football program to its second state title in three years.

Numerous other Cardinal Gibbons student-athletes were also awarded All-County honors by the Sun-Sentinel. They included:
