The cafeteria will indeed see some enhancements, including updates to the paint and flooring, made possible by the generous contributions from the Parent Association Annual Auction and the input from SAGE Dining Services. We are excited to refresh our dining space, making it more welcoming and enjoyable for everyone all while maximizing the space. However, there are no major construction updates at this time.

SAGE Dining Services is a reputable provider with over 30 years of experience in offering dining solutions to the independent school market. They are well-established in managing services for Archdiocesan schools in South Florida and are known for their quality and professionalism.

Sage Dining Services, with over 30 years of experience specializing in independent schools like ours, will bring their expertise right to our meals. They are well-known for their service in various Archdiocesan schools in South Florida, including St. Brendan, Belen Jesuit, Lourdes Academy, Immaculata-LaSalle and Epiphany. In addition, they also serve non-Catholic private schools locally such as Westminster Academy, St. Andrew’s School (Boca), and Miami Country Day.

The transition to SAGE Dining Services will take place in August, before the next academic year begins. There will be no immediate changes to cafeteria operations until then. We aim for a smooth and gradual transition without any disruption to our current services.

We value our staff immensely and have ensured that all current cafeteria employees can pursue positions with SAGE Dining Services. SAGE is known for providing competitive wages, benefits, and comprehensive training to their staff.  After passing SAGE’s employment screening (interview, background check, etc.) they can become SAGE team members.

While the exact chicken wraps you know and love will not be featured, SAGE Dining Services will offer a variety of wrap options that are sure to delight. They are also committed to providing a range of daily specials, bringing fresh flavors and exciting new choices to our menu lineup. Our goal is to ensure there is always something for everyone to enjoy! We are confident that among these new choices, you will find a new favorite that may become just as infamous as the original chicken wraps.

The decision to outsource is in no way a reflection on our current staff’s performance. It is a strategic choice to allow us to focus on our core mission while ensuring that operational aspects such as dining services are managed by specialized professionals.

By allowing SAGE to manage our cafeteria services, we are ensuring that our school can focus on what we do best – education. Students will benefit from improved dining services and the administrative team will have more resources to enhance the educational experience.

We are evaluating potential alternatives to the Point of Sale payment system.  If a change is made, the remaining balance in your child's POS account will carry over seamlessly. Detailed information about any new payment options will be communicated before or during the Back to School Orientation to ensure everyone is well-informed and ready for the new school year.
