In response to the impact that Hurricane Dorian has had on the islands of Grand Bahama and Abaco, Cardinal Gibbons students have organized a collection drive to gather much-needed supplies for those affected by the storm.
Listed below are the items each club has chosen to donate for the Bahamian Hurricane Relief Project at Cardinal Gibbons. This is a student-directed project being led by Emily Maguire and Grace Donnellan from Student Government. All items must be in the designated classroom or office by APEX period on Friday, Sept. 13.
In addition to the item collection, students will also be able to participate in a “Dress Down Day” on Wednesday, Sept. 11, if they donate $5 toward Catholic Charities. Students will also be collecting monetary donations during the varsity football game against Fort Lauderdale on Friday, Sept. 13.
We thank you for the generous outreach to this wonderful island community.
And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ Matthew 25:40.
