Summer Reading
Summer Reading Cardinal Gibbons 2024-2025
In keeping with our college preparatory curriculum, all students enrolled at Cardinal Gibbons will have required summer reading due at the start of the 2024-25 school year, via their core English class.
- AP Language and Composition (11th grade AP English offering) and AP Literature and Composition (12th grade AP English offering) course students will have their own, separate summer reading assignment (found at the end of this description).
- Elective English courses (in addition to or outside of the student’s “core” English course; ie, Creative Writing, Dual Enrollment, Reading, Yearbook, Semantics, etc) do not have additional summer reading requirements.
Please see below for the following required summer reading titles per course, and accompanying assignments. For questions regarding summer reading and/or accompanying assignments, email Mrs. Veronica Cloyd, English Department Chair, at cloyd@cghsfl.org.
