Business Pathway
About the program
This program caters to high school students on a business pathway, offering a dynamic learning experience. Students pursue various business certifications while actively engaging in in-class business simulations. The curriculum is designed to provide practical, hands-on skills crucial in the business world in preparation for a college business program.
What to expect:
- Competitions: Attend the Summit for Young Entrepreneurs at the University of Miami and the Amazing Shake Competition.
- Guest Speakers: Participate in business college-bound and career readiness presentations.
- Field Trips: Students will attend external field trips that provide hands-on opportunities beyond the classroom environment with local partners (i.e. universities, companies, etc.)
- Hands-On Learning: Students will engage in real-world projects, simulations, and labs that are related to real-world business skills.
- Capstone Project: Over three years, students will engage in a capstone project that integrates entrepreneurship and business with Catholic Social Teaching. This approach emphasizes the dignity of work and the potential for business to serve as a force for positive change in the world.
