It is the hope that
each graduate of Cardinal Gibbons High School be ready to contribute to
the world locally and globally. Using the gifts that God has bestowed
on us, we are called to serve one another, particularly those who are
the most vulnerable among us. Students are required to complete 25
hours of community each year at CGHS, of which 10 must be in Direct Service to the poor and needy. Christian Service is to be
completed with a non-profit (501 C-3) organization. Students who completes more
than the required amount of hours may be eligible for additional
recognition. Students who complete more than 250 hours may be honored
at graduation with the Gold Cord. In addition, there are scholarships
from community civic organizations based on a student’s service record.
Christian Service hours are noted on the official transcript of CGHS.
Please read the 2018-2019 Guidelines as we have updated our program.
