Volleyball Girls Defeat Pompano 3-1

The Girls Volleyball team defeated Pompano Beach 25-14, 23-25, 25-21, 25-11 tonight in the Tornadoes' gym. Caiti Donahoe had 37 assists, 11 digs, two blocks, three kills, and one service point. Coco ter Maat had ten digs, 23 service points, and six aces. Leigh Andrew had 16 kills, eight blocks, ten digs, eight service points, and three aces.

The JV Lady Chiefs (5-2) won 2-0. Gibbons hosts Chaminade Thursday in a district matchup (starting with JV at 4:30) that will be played as a "pink event" with pink uniforms in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness.  10/5/11
