Lady Chiefs Win District Championship

The Girls Volleyball team defeated North Broward Prep 25-14, 25-17, 25-15 tonight to win their eighth straight district title. They will host Miami Archbishop Carroll on Wednesday in the regional quarterfinal at 7:00. Leigh Andrew had 18 kills, six blocks, nine digs, two assists, 11 service points, and five aces. Katie Hillman had 14 kills, eight blocks, three digs, seven service points, and three aces. Caiti Donahoe had 41 assists, six digs, two blocks, three kills, and three service points.

The title is Gibbons' 35th in the 38 years the FHSAA has sanctioned volleyball.  10/27/11
