Girls Basketball in District Final

The Lady Chiefs (22-2) won their district 15-4A semifinal 44-32 Friday night over Stranahan. The win secures their spot in the regional playoffs, which start next Thursday. This will be Gibbons' first appearance in the tournament since 2006, and their first under second-year coach Kevin Gordon. The girls play Archbishop McCarthy at McCarthy Saturday night at 7:00.  2/5/10
