Cheerleaders Win Third Straight BCAA Title

Cardinal Gibbons cheerleaders took home first place Saturday at the BCAA Competitive Cheerleading Championships at Dillard High School. For the third consecutive year, in the three-year history of the event, the girls won their respective division. This year, they took top honors in the tumbling division (medium size) for the first time. Coach Susan Hanks: "They're such a young squad, I'm very proud of their achievement. They've done everything I've asked them to do. We're looking forward to states." The FHSAA Cheerleading Championships are this Friday and Saturday in Kissimmee. The Chief Cheerleaders are defending state champions.  1/31/10
