13 Chief Wrestlers in Regionals at Gibbons Friday
The wrestling team finished runner-up in District 14-1A competition Wednesday at home. Cardinal Gibbons advanced 13 individuals to the regional championship and had three district champions: seniors C.J. Burke (135) and Nick Lagriola (152), and junior Robert Whittaker (Heavyweight/275). C.J. has a record of 36-3, won BCAA, and is looking for his third regional title next week. A complete list of qualifiers from Gibbons, district team scores, and the regional time schedule are listed below. Cardinal Gibbons hosts the regional championship February 12-13.
