Coaching Staff

James Courter (Head Coach) is entering his first season leading the Chiefs. He returns to Gibbons after a year as an assistant at his alma mater, Providence College. At Providence he worked as the defensive coordinator for the Friars as they began play in the highly competitive Big East Conference. A native of New Jersey, Coach Courter previously worked at CGHS as an assistant lacrosse coach (2008-09) and as the freshman basketball coach (2007-08). As a player at Providence, he was a four-year starter and a three-year captain as the Friars qualified for three NCAA tournaments and won three MAAC conference championships. He earned his undergraduate degree in management in 2007.
