St. Joan of Arc takes first overall at Cardinal Gibbons Brain Brawl

On Saturday, Dec. 8, St. Joan of Arc took first place in the annual Cardinal Gibbons Brain Brawl, hosted by the National Honor Society. Teams from St. Coleman and St. Andrew finished second and third, respectively, out of six local middle school teams. 
Each of the six teams were pitted against each other in an academic trivia competition, answering questions regarding literature, mathematics, science, social studies and current events. Students from St. Joan of Arc earned $300 scholarships to Cardinal Gibbons, while the students from St. Coleman and St. Andrew earned $200 and $100 scholarships, respectively.
